Chaperones, thank you for taking time out of your busy schedule to visit the Fort Worth Museum of Science and History. Your role is crucial in your children’s educational experience and safety.

Here are a few tips and reminders to make your and your children’s day an overall success:
Doors do not open to students, chaperones or guests until 10:00 a.m., rain or shine.

Students of all ages MUST stay with a chaperone at all times. Chaperones MUST stay with students of all ages at all times.

We ask that students remain on classroom behavior while visiting the museum for their safety and the safety of our guests.

Many of our staff are “connected” for instant communication. In case of an emergency they can immediately be in touch with the security team. Please share this information with your children.

If you pre-reserved through the group and have already given your admission fee to the group lead, we ask that you wait outside and help keep students safe and organized until our doors open at 10:00 a.m. After the lead teacher has checked in they will return to your group to pass out admission stickers.

If you need to purchase admission separately, the museum opens at 10:00 a.m. At that time you will be helped on a first come first served basis.

We do not guarantee there will be any available admission to timed events due to capacity limits.

Adults are responsible for knowing the full name of the group they are joining as well as the start time of any films their student may be viewing.

Membership benefits are not valid for school or group reserved programs. This is stated on the back of every member card.

There is a $7-$10 fee per vehicle that must be paid in cash at the entrance to each parking lot.  Parking fees are not collected by the museum or museum personnel.

There are no “in and out” privileges for vehicles.

The museum does not allow any outside food or drinks inside the facility.

We do not have any food storage available on site. All student lunches will be left in school approved vehicles.

Store all lunches and coolers in your vehicle before AND after lunch.

Your group is welcome to picnic on any of the exterior grassy areas surrounding the building.

Refreshments are available for purchase in the Stars Café and Reel Refreshments concession stand.

The OMNI sound system has 50 speakers, driven by 8 amplifiers that produce over 24,000 watts of sound through 6 channels and a giant sub-bass stack to give the audience that “you are there” feeling.
